Might be of interest to any of you in the East Manchester/Stockport area. Wickes in Glossop have got a palletload of Hardwall going at £1 per bag.

The use-by date is 16/02/2010, I used a few bags last week (before the price drop!) and they were fine, went off as normal with no problems.

Hope it's of use to someone?

bugger a bit far from me :'(

to be fair ive used floating plaster 6 weeks over date, as long as its been stored dry.

I went to a job last year for a small builder to do a bedroom in a house. The only plaster he had was 18 month out of date multi finish. The bedroom was a fair size so was doing it in 2 hits. I started the first mix at 8 and it did not finish till half 3!! Never again

I had gear a yr out of date but didnt check. The customer had had it stored some where but I asumed it was fresh etc. Any way do a mix to start a big ceiling. First trowel on it goes, go to get some more off the spot.......SOLID :(

Glad it helped you out mate :)

The job I'm on for the next few weeks is S&C so Hardwall no use to me so thought I'd post it on here.

Didn't notice board finish was £1 a bag as well, might have to get some in tomorrow for next week!

There's a load more Hardwall reduced at my local Wickes. It's £3.50 a bag, and they've got a pallet and a half full. They'll probably drop it to a £1 a bag again in a week or so if it's not all been sold.

Might be of interest to someone?
