Hardwall vs Dot Dab

Hi all

Can anyone share any insight on the relative cost difference between getting a room hardwalled Vs boarded and skimmed?

Should the end cost to the customer be much of a muchness, or does one take more skill / material, and would therefore tend to be more expensive?

Float & set is more labour intensive and much more of a skill, so more expensive than dot & dab.
Both require a professional skilled plasterer to achieve a good level of finish.
Neither are “cheap”

Five bedrooms of mixed size. Is there a difficulty using hardwall on old red bricks (internally walls only, we're using lime for internal?
