alright lads,

Just joined up, i'm col from west lancs I've been ewi installing for 22 yrs .Currently workin in crewe for k&g ins on private prop. Thought i'd join up to touch base with others in the trade, offer advice and see whats happening in and around the region now that GD and ECO seems to have pulled its finger out of its ass. been getting a bit tired of the "starting in two weeks" phone calls since jan!!!!

Not to bad at all buddy, the outfit i'm workin for at the mo are spot on cos they are all spreads.We've been on for them for about 3 months, rates are good m2 is brilliant as they don't take out the windows. only thing that concerns me is all this talk of the "worst November in 100yrs" from the media, so i'm lookin at iwi in Carlisle or entries in Manchester just in case. trying to stay away from green deal too after I saw all the paper work they expect me to complete!!!! war an f*$kin peace for standard rates w.t.f!

With the weather they cannot tell you what is going to happen the next day , let alone in a months time ,so hope i,m right :-(
 
that's what I keep telling myself, looked up the guy the papers quoted from accuweather he's either a genius or a scam artist! i'm hoping the latter!

lost a day today ,as the weather in kent was a wash out ...it rained for 15 minutes :RpS_cursing: spray tomorrow what ever they say ,i should know better by now :RpS_unsure:
 
ouch! done that so many times. nowt worse than makin the wrong call, at least you didn't make someone a nice render patio:RpS_scared:. Didn't even bother startin the van this morn it was that bad. At least it was the right decision it hammered down till 1
 
Luxury to day working under a fully closed scaff with tin hat on, all jobs should be like this, this day and age.

well said bud, this should be standard practice come aut/winter its not that difficult to erect a frame and fit mono flex over it......unless your a scaffolder in which case from my experience its the hardest most impractical thing they've ever had to do!!

Know what you mean mate but this firm have actually done a decent job, old school scaffs not your normal kids with a load of gear up their nose flickknife, condom etc in there pocket to cover any eventuality in the day other than scaffolding, the boss turned up this afternoon in the obligatory 013 merc to pick his money up and was most impressed that we had stripped the roof and all the tiles were on the scaff holding it all down with the winds we had today Lol
