hello i have a city and guilds in plastering and having completed a course, i have plastered a few rooms and learnt a lot in the process.

I am still not particularly confident about ceilings, but maybe that is the issue, in that confidence helps with plastering, obviously knowing what u should be doing is a factor, but confidence to do etc.

anyway, i enjoy plastering and am now looking to start doing it for other people. But i want to do a good and proper job for people, there are a number of things i either dont know about or lack experience. So would rather decline the work rather than bodge it.

However, a friend of mine knows a lot about marketing online, which means i should get to the top of google for some search terms when people looking for plastering.

Which means i am going to start getting calls from people wanting work done. Some of this work I am certain i will lack the experience to do.

I am based in essex, i am expecting to get calls for work in essex and london. I am thinking about the idea of pairing up with someone to do the work. So i learn and earn at the same time.

I would be interested in any thoughts or offers, it is possible that i will have work in home counties aswell.
 
has anyone any ideas of where i can find a good spread ? gumtree, my concern is chancers who have done a bit of this and bit of that and think they can plaster to a good standard, i guess thats the chance i take when i start looking to work with someone.
there were a couple of people i did the course with who couldnt plaster for sht, but had no doubts that they would be offering plastering to the gen public, and i suppose learning as they go.

That's what OTHER PLASTERERS might be thinking when they consider taking YOU on mate......:rolleyes)
 
You or anyone else can interpret things whatever way you want.

But i have a plasterers qualification and am spending a lot of money on marketing.

So it is not a case of anyone taking me on. I will have people contacting me about work.

And as such I am interested in the possibility of working with someone to complete it or employing someone to do the work.

I think its a bit off the way u have just posted that comment.
 
dnt think your ready to go it alone pal,or even with another spread, try ang get with a building firm , gain alot more experience in all aspects of the job, if you do, a more experinenced spread wouldnt want to carry you for too long
