We are Brookes UK Ltd, one of the countries leading workwear providers, and we are delighted to have linked up with The Plasterers Forum, which Danny has been doing a superb job with.

For those wondering who we are, and what’s in it for you, then let us explain. We have been selling top quality workwear at low prices since we were formed in 1999.

We can provide embroidery services too on pretty much every workwear and safety item too at a low cost.

The costs are low, because we deal with the companies direct. No middle man means lower prices, which are passed straight on to you the customer, who have consistently given us excellent feedback and reviews.

On to our link-up with The Plasterers Forum though. We’re delighted that Danny has allowed us to join and make ourselves known to the folks in this area, and so we all get off on the right foot we’ve got a competition for you, the first of many links between The Plasterers Forum and ourselves.

We’re giving away a pair of Helly Hansen Ashford Work Trousers to one of you! These top quality workwear trousers come in a black or blue, and are hardwearing enough to last you a very long time. Check them out for yourself on our website!

All you have to do is email [email protected] using the subject line “Plasterers Forumâ€￾ with the answer to the following question…

When was Brookes UK Ltd formed? (Clue: The answer is in this article!)

We look forward to hearing from you, and providing readers of these forums with top workwear advice and a few more competitions in the future.

Good luck, and thanks for reading.

Closing date: July 8[SUP]th[/SUP] 2011.

Welcome to the forum, as a larger than average sized plasterer , i really find it difficult to find workwear that doesn't split when i bend over ,or it fits just under my nipples after it's been washed, now if you were to send me some samples, being a moderator i would be able to give an impartial :RpS_wink: review

This is all official and above board guys so get stuck in and enter :-)

We will be working closely with brookes to build both brands :-)

Indeed, looking forward to this Danny! I'd suggest even those larger fellas enter the competition. Those top notch Helly Hansen Workwear Trousers come up to a 44" waist.

Get entering, it's comletely free!

nah it wont fit he really is a fat c**t

I'll take it you guys know best on this one then!

I wonder if it would be possible for Danny to arrange a stickied thread or area where workwear can be discussed for ease of access? Such as if someone wants to know which trousers are best out of a certain two, or do we have any in a size 64" waist etc ;-)

More than willing to help out and advise, and hopefully run more of these competitions and stuff in the future as we link up further with Plasterers Forum.

Certainly seems like a good bunch so far.

dunno if danny can arrange sticky threads... i reckon you just have to be a bit more careful and keep a tissue handy... :RpS_crying:

Is this comin from the same guy who was slagging people for wearing gloves lol The only pants i feel comfy in are cotton trackies coz they dont split when i bend down and they always rot on the knees, so leather patches on the knees would be ideal coz they would go well with my leather cap and crutchless trackies xxxxxx

If you could make cotton tracky bottoms with knee patches i think you would be onto a winner.

We don't have any tracky bottoms with kneepads, but I agree they would be a winner!

These trousers here - Link Removed - have kneepad pouches, and are 65% Cotton, 35% Polyester where as most workwear trousers are more Polyester based.

Perhaps they would do while we work on inventing the kneepad tracky!

I like wearing gloves know mate xHow about a pocket for the knee pads cause in this game they only last a month or so and you don't want to sell out fir knee pads all the time

Yeh great idea and also inside pockets ive lost count of the amount of times ive lost somethin out of my tracky bottoms :)

ive got zipped pockets on my work trousers... nail pockets that fit inside my normal pockets when im not using em.... thigh pockets for me phone, trowel, pencil, stanley, velco on every other flap... theyre called 'tuffstuff' and i got em off the market for 17 quid... so far theyre bullet proof...
even the main 'hold it all together' button is still holding everything together.. even after a large big mac and chips :RpS_sleep:

You're not one of them 'gunslingers' though Chris are you?......say you're not, I'll be so disappointed if you are:rolleyes)
