just to say hello to everyone and i think this forum is excellent.

I current work in sales, but I am starting to do jobs on the side, as I have plastered my own house and the missus is happy, so any customer will be aswell, trust me,

how much would you guys charge for a standard 20x10 room, to re-skim the walls and ceiling for a mate, by the way the ceiling is that lovely artex stuff.

Hi widdow and welcome.

Depends on how bad the artex is but I look for in the region of £450 per room all in for mates.

If it needs more than skimming it'd be more

I hate doing mates rates, as they always think you are trying to make money out of them, what I've told him to do is get a quote from another plasterer, and they he'll see how cheap I'm doing it

a wudnt even bother telling him to do that he`ll prob just say hes rang 1 n theyve said theyll do it cheaper than you to get it cheap if you knw wat a mean ;D
