Help!! How to fix semi set plaster that’s not been trowelled / pressed in time :(

Trying to do a DIY plastering job but did too much in one go as an amateur (2 walls and a ceiling)

Now I have a wall that has set too much to work it with the trowel and press it, so the wall has lines and an uneven texture to it.

How do I fix it? Do I need to let it dry fully and redo it? :(

Belt sander.

Re skim it! Give it a Good few coats of pva mix. And defiantly don’t do it all at once this time!!

ceiling and walls to much for a d.i.y. person, leave it and get a plasterer in,........i am based in carlisle but willing to travel throughout the country, obviously flights/trains, min 4 star hotel, no travel lodge, expenses materials to pay, waiting for your call

Welcome! Good few coats of pva and re skim it. You can throw cream of tartar in your water before you add gear and mix. This slows the setting time. Do each area individually.

Good luck!

I'd pva and re skim.

If I were you however.....

I'd go and buy wickes bonding agent, and paint it on, leave to fully dry and then skim.

Little bit more costly, but with your inexperience you'll need time to work the plaster and get it on and flat especially as your now going over porous work.

1 wall/lid at a time

If you still have the patience..

Not as easy as it looks is it eh, my old man had a go at skimming a wall about 17years ago, the daft f**k*r didn't even pva the walls :ROFLMAO:
