A builder I do houses for wants me to lime render the front of his house,
I am a skilled plaster and it’s well with I’m my capability’s it’s just the prosses knowledge I’m lacking it’s 77m2
Hurl slury first to even suction (what is hurled? Lime/lime and sand?)
Scratch coat with hair (what would be the best mix and best sand)
Top coat no hair ( again preferred mix)
Thanks for any help lads

The hurl slurry is just a slurry you flick at the wall, like you would if it’s sand and cement just this is with lime instead. Your mix should be three and one lime putty and sharp sand toss the hair in so that if you take some out on a gauges the hairs are sticking out all over the muck. Be aware that if you do use lime putty don’t and water till you have knocked the sharp sand in as the lime will most likely have enough water in it so if you add more it will be pissey, don’t use any waterproof, plasticiser or cement with it and with lime putty you will have to wait about nine days in between coats as it relies on carbon dioxide in the air to go off also no metal unless it’s stainless steel but you may have to check with spec for that
