Ok lads whent to see this job this afternoon and the customer whant some lime hemp plaster done and it a huge ceiling. The ceiling got insulated boards . The hemp in bags nock it back whith a mixer give the ceiling one coat 6mm brush it up for key second coat next day and trowel 3 .They say u can give a 12mm coat and trowel next day . I prefer the first one lol. Has anyone troweld this hemp up before any tips

I might as well reply my self lol. It nice to see that some of know it all are quiet .Il just give it a go and see what happens as they say trial and error . And if turns out ok il take a picture lol

Freezing your telling me it -1 in village.On top of snowdon I'd say -10 and over people phone u to ask if u can do outdoor work it ok if your a joiner lol

I have used it but only as a scratch and float coat, the hemp was used as an aggregate instead of coarse sand, I finished it with lime putty finish plaster, hemp holds onto the moisture in the mix longer so it's more likely to rot out in time making the lime plaster mix fail.
