Thought I'd introduce myself. Not a plasterer at the moment but taking redundancy at xmas from current job. I'm starting a goldtrowel 6 week course in January. I know you'll all probably call me a nob now as you don't seem keen on the constrution colleges but they're the one with best rep out of the lot and truth is no one will want a 29 year old labourer with no plastering experience.....maybe I could tell them I'll set them up a bang tidy spreadsheet, p

Currently reading everybit of stuff I can find, watching videos etc so I can at least have a bit of knowledge when I start the course. Plastered my house a few years ago after a re-wire and that turned out pretty good, followed the proper method best I could (made my arm ache a bit). Oddly the wall that turned out the best was the big beast that runs up the stairs. I think its faultless
when you put plastering, lifting a pint and self loving all together will I end up with one poppy arm and one skinny little weak arm.
Anyway a bit long winded but hey ho, seem like good lads on here even though one or two are a bit crackers and I love it when the threads degenerate into dick measuring contest, some of the banter and arguments had me laughing out loud.
