Hi Warren

Ryan at Plasterers One Stop Ship does Jub..... I am sure he will advise

and as Danny says, there are lots of exp renderers on here (JFE above also..... tut tut Danny...)

what application you looking at......? Usually you use the same manufacturers self cleaning paint onto their renders...

where you based?

Hi looking for advice on render

Thank you

Warren

Welcome to the forum Warren,

Jub's Nanosil product is extremely good. For the price of it compared to Lotusan it is definitely worth a look at, the product can also be tinted. The colour range is not massive in Nanosil - there is still some choice though :RpS_thumbsup:

Feel free to give us a call if you need any more advice

Ryan

Self cleaning paint as scissors says will certainly do the job and marmorit apply alot over their renders on buildings such as schools. Nanoxil is also very good buy the cheaper of the three they all do the same thing

Then ryan can supply jub full system to you or you can go direct to jub where they can go through any questions and warranties colours etc.

Good luck

If its self cleaning you want along with economy. consider using the parex monorex coloured scraped finish and apply their paraguard clear solution over the dried render. IMO monocouche or scraped renders work well its just the aftercare that gets overlooked, by using paraguard you have a self cleaning render system

Thats Right PFT wales and a route we are looking at offering to customers as an extra. even onto acrylic finishes, we used an economical acrylic texture on a job recently and backed it up with a coat of F1 facade paint, flawless finish and a high protection right on the outer surface - something we discussed with Les last time we were up there.

the problem with paraguard is the riduclous cost of the product that parex charge for it.
theres a new product coming out soon tho thats half the price of it, not made by parex i may add but equally as effective.

its 3 quid a mtr materials which is plenty cheaper than any equivalent product available. people pay £15 m2 more for self cleaning renders

you can use other sealers that aint from the render manufacturers and cost less.

de doo doo doo de daa daa daa is all I want to say to you..... lalala

like what. will it be a nano lotus effect stylee or just a sealer

nano works by having such a high silicone content that it wont allow any dirt to stick then the self cleaning theory is that because it cant stick it will fall away with the rain. I would be surprised if there is any other technology in it. water beading on the surface is down to hydrophobic materials used in other renders and possibly the nano but I think this is merely a very small advantage. there are also different nanosil products with different levels of "self cleaning" probably down to the content level of the silicone/biocides.

lotus "effect" is what it says it is if you want the all singing water beading self cleaning "effect" then you need render/facade paint manufacturers products such as the JUB/STO but weather it keeps the overall appearance cleaner than a cheaper sealer remains to be seen but time will tell.

special effects or just something that works - the choice is yours:RpS_thumbsup:
