Higher ceilings

Got a 5 x 4 ceiling to skim...its to high to reach off a hopup round about 2.80...

I haven't got any stilts although thinking about getting some but don't really want to test them out on a ceiling this big to start...

What would be another method to get access that is cheap boards and trestles? probably need alot of them though? tower with wheels? what do u guys use?

just trestles mate...
then just criss cross the boards and be a bit carefull with yer footing cos it hurts a bit when you fall off..
if you do fall off... dump the friggin trowel before you hit the deck.. :RpS_laugh:

why don't you try using split heads? with a rough calculation you'd need about 21 scaffold boards at 13' long plus 6 meters of 4 by 1. don't know what health and safety would make of it though!!

I have 2 soak away crates that when stacked on top get me to the right height

need a bucket bitch though cos you dont wanna be climbing up and down...lol

or hire a tower

This is why spreads do better when teamed up with another it makes life alot easier but there again its only 20m2 which is 2 bags of skim doddle off a hop up on your own.

Lol i did also see u said it was 2.8 i can skim up to just over 3 on a hop up but i am 6 foot 5 lol
