I Live in the high wycombe area and Im Interested in getting out of my current job in sales as i have had enough. I want to know is it best to work for someone just labouring before doing a course? How the best way of getting this kind of work is and also where the courses are best taken? Any help would be great.

do a weekend course or 5 day course and see if its still what u want, if yes u can try get
in with a plasterer as a labourer which is a good basis and maybe go onto
city and guilds which i just completed,

good few years experince as a labourer with a long course is a good foundation to start with...

I started off as a labourer for my mate, pulling down lath & plaster ceilings, knocking up, cleaning his poxy van all the time etc
then i did a course and im now slowly getting into it now... I am also in sales... in a builders merchant so i get talking to customers
and the odd time i get a ceiling or wall or a bit of bonding etc, but its all experience......

good luck

I am starting a beginners course at college on Tuesday which is 10 evenings hopefully this will help decide if it will be right for me. I have no issue in starting doing that. Is it best to just ring people out of the yellow pages?
Thanks for the advice
