I think I've attached a picture....crap as it is.

Anyway, got a room on with all sorts in it, along with a curved corner on the chimney breast..

Now, I've done free hand corners in the past, but always used an external angle trowel to shape or it's been a big enough radius to get on it with a trowel. This one has a radius similar to a coke can....I used to see my old man use a plastic bags on stuff like this?

My my plan is to skim up to the corner on both sides and leave a thick edge, wait for the gear to pick up a bit and then try to spread it around the corner with my sponge back plazzi?

What you's think? Do I need to get a plazzi bag out or are there other forces at work within the modern game?

Use a bit of half round plastic guttering wet it down and when stuff picks up just go up n down it till it looks right have done this before on wide bullnoses :RpS_thumbsup:

Thats an interesting technique, worth keeping a few inches in the van I suppose.

cheers Yam!

Now doe start I ay a yam yam! I think the bit I used is still in the van somewhere! Watch it with the few spare inches remark arti will be next to you in van in morning and it won't be guttering he has in mind :RpS_thumbsup:

Build it out n stick a corner bead on it.....:RpS_wink:

we have just recently bought some refina skimming spatulas and we had to do some corners like these the other week, they came up beautiful with the spatch, they are about £40 ish with the vat.

Before i had the spatch i favored the sponge over the plastic bag, i used to skim up to the corner from each side then as the plaster was just starting to take in i'd run a jumbo car sponge, (wet) up the corner, top to bottom, the sponge moulds to the shape and forms the rounded corner perfectly.
