was getting naff all but now got prolly bout 5 weeks infront ,only reskims over artex not brill money but[happy dayz]again hope its starting to pick up for the others who needed it to
Up till about two weeks ago I was a bit quiet. Last week was the ffirst week this year I worked 6 days and then this week I am in all 7. Done 2 jobs in the evening as well this week and having to do 2 small jobs on sunday then i start another job lasting 2 weeks on monday. So for me things seem to be picking up, well at least for now will probably be back to fingering my arse in a few weeks
Still only bits and pieces going on nothing major , lots of under cutting and newbie spreads working for about £80 a day . Far two spreads about these days chasing very little work.
Its sod's law, since buying my window cleaning round i've had quite a few calls for plastering. Done the smaller ones when we had the snow but the bigger jobs had to sub oot
bits, took a call the other week from some property developer wanting to know my 'day rate'...
didnt even bother turning up....
they already told me theyd had a bloke in on day rate and he kept turning up half p'ssed..
i can guess what they were paying him...
couldnt be arsed going to the job and watching their little shocked faces...
Slow here,bits and bobs.
I got some good work coming up in the next few weeks once the guys remortgage comes through a full house refurb re-wire replaster new kitchen bathroom dec throughout about 8 weeks work.im doing the lot apart from the re wire, but ive started a full scope domestic electricians course a few weeks back and in 9-12 months will be qualified to do that also.
I just a few minutes ago got the go ahead for a weeks work on a job i priced up last september ffs,i start it monday.
Its definetly gettign harder not better like the Goverment would have you beleive.
