I foned about ten companies that were advertising for spreads on price work. and they all said cheers well get back in touch. now if u need a spread and u put an ad out wen one rings up employ them. say yes start tomoz or the 12th of wen evr. if the positions gone just say but we will take details for futr refernce. A company i called a few mnths ago in MK were advertising for a gang of spreads. Y ? they took my nmber mnths ago wen they advertised. Y not just go throught the list u got and save ur self a few quid on adds .
 
called the first number yesterday mate. they just took mi details and said they will contact me wen sumet comes in

a lot of these companies are agencies.. they data collect tradesmens information and advertise to bigger employers that they have X number of tradesmen on their books... IE charge £35.00 an hour and give you £12.00 if and when they use you
 
i see. so the more lads they have on record the greater chance they have of winning work with the plastering contractors
 
Buty why would they not just get thje yellow pages out and ring a load of spreads and get them for £12 an hour rather than pay £35 to an agency?
