Hi all, looking for some advice on external render imperfections.
I am not a professional so please be gentle. I have recently had an extension and some external walls rendered. Some of the walls show signs of a blocking effect. Some of the driveway and the side walls look very patchy and have got green marks from the trees nearby.
The strange thing is that other walls appear absolutely fine. I have attached some pics which hopefully illustrate the problem but if you need more information then please do let me know.
Cheers Paul

Is it a coloured render or just sand and cement needing paint? If its the former its on too thin prob 10mm beads the suction on the block and the mortar are different and on too thin this will show through as the suction alters the shade of the colour.

If its the later, dont worry just paint it

Were the walls scrat coated first then top coated ,as said above looks like shadow just drying out ...paint will sort if that's the case

Like what's been said, if it's mono it will probably stay like that, should of had something on it to even the suction, can't think of the name but @beddy might know it :) if it's sand and cement just paint unless you said you didn't want to paint.

why didn't u just talk to plasterer who did it about your thoughts...imo all of the above comments are useless as they cant see what was used never mind give u any advise.

Thanks for the prompt feedback, everyone. I will be speaking to the builder in due course just wanted to get some background so i don't get the wool pulled over my eyes. The guy plastering did all of it so it seems strange that some looks good and some not.
I don't want to paint anything as the rest of the house is just plain and i quite like it that way.
I will get more information and let you know-thanks again.

Can you let us know what he used? I'm interested, cement or lime and what type of sand?

Thanks
