snowboarding lessons going really well had some bad falls last night knew id hurt my wrists but got up this morning cant pick anything of weight up which is just great as got a nice site kicking off on tuesday.

Oh and broke middle finger on my hawk hand.

Fingers not a problem its just the wrists they have been in and out of ice all morning just hope there better for nxt week

I stopped playing football after the doctor told me that if I do my ankle again ill nedd surgery and 6 months off work. Gotta get your priorities right

Take a good anti inflammatory as this will help with your recovery. Massage your wrists with ointment to improve blood circulation. When you go back on the slopes buy yourself a pair of wrist guards (the type they sell in roller skating shops). Take it easy for a few days and you'll be fine. Maybe the missus will help out if you feel the urge.

Where are you doing your lessons? I'm off skiing in March and my girlfriend has never done it. Want to get her up-to speed before we get there!!

i would try that heat ointment you just rub it in and settles it down ,go and get some tonight before chemist shuts or your local supermarket, ask the chemist for advice as well , but dont waste any time got to get that bruising down at least the weekend is here, as for breaking your middle finger on your handboard hand i would think of all the fingers to break thats probably the best one, let us know how you get on elplastering and what you used could be some good advice, but definately look at the heat ointment.

Don't rush it. I worked one Saturday morning in 93 the lab made some stiff gear and I made do with it. Next morning no strength in my wrist's. i went to the quacks on a Monday and he told me I had tynosynovitus. That was the end of me plastering for the next 6 years. I did come back slowly and wore wrist supports. They are still weak but it has made me come to my senses. Now I let others do the donkey work and my skimming days are over.

I hope it is not what I had, perhaps a strain but if you do go back get some wrist supports.

1 stop telford dri ski slope mate good value and good teachers.

They seem to be freeing up a bit now ove had a combomation of that deep heat and a microwave bean bag and for some reason that has done a world of good still cant put pressure on my hands though as you do when you get out a chair.

The finger im just strapping to the next one now still cant make a fist, i think its just an impact injury on the wrists so as yous all say r and r should do it

Mate you've got to look after yourself, I retired from football at the old age of 24 due to having problems walking on Monday mornings, mainly due to missing lumps and swollen bumps on my legs. Still had tenosynovitis, tennis elbow, cold shoulder and carpell tunnel all in my right arm. That man that said hard work doesn't hurt you never had any, it kills donkeys and breaks machinery.
