internal brick work

hi everyone i have a customer who knocked down an internal wall and now needs to re plaster there is a small area of bare brick, shall i fill it with bonding then scim as s&c seems a lot of greif for such a small area thanks all

i would go with bonding. already done most of their house just wonderd if anyone else dose any different

I always favour hardwall on masonry - higher impact resistance once dry but I think its a case of swings and roundabouts

hardwall, let it firm up and skim it straight away... you cant do that with sand and cement
well actually, dunno if you can or not, never tried, i just wouldnt though... nothing to stop u mixing s+c in a bucket same way you would hardwall for a small area...
