Hey you all, we're curently remodeling our house which we bought about a month and a half ago. The seller said house had no asbestos in it at all or whatsoever. However we just came across this insulation in the ceiling. Could you guys tell if it is an asbestos insulation or not cuz I'm kinda freaking out right now
Appreciate your help

No, its impossible to know 100% unless it is tested under a microscope .
Check online, some companies do a mail testing service which is not expensive.

Forgot to add ignore any other comments you may get on here and follow above advice.

Also if that is loose fill asbestos insulation it is THE most dangerous type, do not mess with it.

It doesn't look like its loose it has more of wool kind of look. Once it was uncovered we just covered it with plastic until sure what it is.

Ask the seller, in writing/text preferably. Looks like loose fill/blown fibreglass to me. If so, the seller might remember the name of the firm or when it was done. If unable to verify by tracking back then as Tapit advice 1.
