Best to sign on with agency till you get known guys,no harm to introduce yourselves on here, is it only skimming that you do, very keenly priced I am afraid

Generally people here won't say a price at all or they will give you a silly price, it's just to stop nosey customers, where in Ireland are you guys from, got royal county and queens county on here

It varies from area to area over here and then job to job, London generally been the highest paid but everything else is expensive here, best way to get rates is to ring the subcontractors and ask what they are paying? Best work is directly from a builder or private work, jobs come up here on and off where people need a hand out, they more they know you on here they more they will think of you when work comes up,best of luck

Good, shipshape are ok I think ,it depends obviously on the jobs they get in, the usual supply and demand crack, I have been self employed for years and normally work for builders/ developers,I did my h and s through shipshape and that's how I know of them,

Yes, I know, my cousins are all left Ireland and settled in Perth in the mines. The uk generally means England when you are looking for work and more often than not people are drawn to London, its busy enough here or was upto Xmas, January can be odd, weather plays a factor too for the exterior guys, last year was fairly decent for most, you need to be here, have your paper work upto date, health and safety cards, utr and Ni numbers, don't pay an agency to get something like the utr or Ni, you can get them free in case you are not aware, like everywhere be careful who you work for ,people get knocked here too and can be made to wait a long time for payments

Have nephews one a plumber one an electrician doing the same dance with people in Ireland, such a shame that the banks and government had their heads in the sand, turned a great thing into a pyramid scam but people were responsible in some respects too, no one seemed to save a bob, house prices rocketed to London level, every square inch had a huge inflated value, my sister bought a double site for 500k in 2007, lots of people suffered, damn shame

I remember been back for funerals and been offered work at the graveside ,people waiting three months for a plasterer, sad now that people are enjoying others demise,schadenfreude as the Germans call it,

Never did one that's the same yet, I like them all lined up, not too high ,not many angles, nice and flat

they are still square metres whether in a cupboard or on a 400 metre wall you still only get the m2 price
