Is Rated people any good

Can anyone give me the run down on how rated people works.I no you bye quotes off them but do they also take a cut out of what you earn.also do they sell quotes to as many spreads as they can or just a set amount.Im wondering if this method of getting the work in is any good or just a rip off as i joined them today got my first quote phoned the number of client at least 4 times and there phone is turned off.Have they been swamped in calls all day by fellow spreads. ::).Whats the crack.anyone
 
think they usually sell the contact detais to a maximum of 3 tradesmen/chancers it seems epensive to me like one i seen £18+vat to quote for a ceiling 2 mtrs 3 mtrs a £100 job max so u cant even cost it into the price of a job that small
 
Terry you agree to quote on a job for a small fee, and are given the customers details who can decide on how many quotes they want max of 3 so not bad. if for any reason you cannot contact the customer they give you a credit back. This site has worked really well for me in the past.
 
gps.Have you had many time wasters.Like you buy a quote and drive 10 miles to price the job.They budget the job no more than £200 and there is twice as much work there as described and its impossible to do it on there budget.
 
i registered with the site this morning after someone had mentioned it on here. I paid £10 for my first 3 months with a free credit for a quote. I got the details for a hall stairs and landing and am quoting for it monday. I think the £10 deal is ok but could be pretty expensive at £40 quarterly plus the cost of customer details. I doubt i will continue my membership after the deal period.

Terry I have always just quoted on the job regardless of what they have put as their budget, sometimes it works the other way they have put a budget of 1000-2000 but the job is only worth about 500, so try to ignore the budget that is put on it. Also terry look up any trade rated people is always right at the top its by far the best trust me although it can be tough to begin with because you have no ratings.
 
works very well for me ad it like 3 years. need to build a good rateing to make it work well
