I am domestic,you know I gave up site work,bdl a massive main contractor in London went to £1.80 a mtr in recession I hear stories of £3.50/4 on sites now when i started doing big sites it was £4.50 and got extra for over height work but they don't pay that anymore cheapest I've seen is 750 for a 3 bed house f that
£3-£4!! Get that in Leeds! Thought be over a £5iver in London as its quadruple price of living

Mate this gravey train ain't what people think it's just as tight down here we have gangs of Romanians that been doing a year team up with about 4 of them only 1 knows what to do and they crash out a house in a day,making good men get 100 a day,labourers get £12 an hour,and they want trades for £13 it's a joke,so don't believe what you hear it's as bad here as it is anywhere,the gold has gone unless your a boss,hence why I can do a domestic on day work for a min of 150-200 a day in a 10 mile radius of my house do 8-4 and still earn a decent wage

I see jobs all the time at £12 an hour I don't know who decides that's the going rate and is fair,someone on crack and white lightning I would imagine and who actually does these jobs

Few years back I had a agency call me for a job money looked alright but when she explained they don't pay me someone else does and it's 25 a week in admin fees and a 5 to get paid in bank I laughed my bollox off and went nah your alright no thanks I've never worked for an agency wouldn't wanna risk it to many horror stories

Worked for 1 about 12 years ago was getting £15 a hour which at time cudnt believe as just quit place where I learned as he wunt give me a pay rise so gambled and fcked off u do absolutely FCK all easiest money ull ever earn

I do see a few but that one woman said to me you pay the 25 quid then the 5er and that's every week I will say though when I was on the big sites you never see an agency worker bust a gut
