Job descriptions on invoices.

My favourite phrase at the moment is "Commencement of enabling works.". It sounds so much better than "Start smashing fcuk out of the back of your house.".

Please feel free to use it. Anyone else got any good phrases or terms to make your invoices sound more posherer?

It's on the invoice for the first stage payment. For extensions and the like I use the time honoured 30% for demolition and clearance, 30% for groundworks and foundations, 30% walls and roof etc. and 10% on completion and snagging.

The quotation has it in the work description as a bullet point "Carry out enabling works.".
