gone a skimming job in fulham last week.baring in might i`m a devon lad, can`t get my head around why anyone would want to live there.it cost around 20 notes to park outside the job every day.went up the local spar shop for grub every day, every fcuker working there was,(how shall i put this, not english).struggled to get a please and thank you out of them.the best part of the job was the saturday nite out!

I done loads of work on the Fulham High Street, was in a falt above a shop, see i wooly get stabbed after the Match 1 Saturday afternoon, every one was walking past, people were just looking the cherry dripping all over the footpath, so i carried on skimming.

far too many years spent in london-s**t prices,s**t traffic, expensive lunch and every f**k**s ignorant-best thing i ever did was move to the country

You guys have got to be kidding me parking and traffic aside its great place and let me tell you the domestic side in london there is plenty to made

No ,very true , but it helps , London is a fantastic place , you just gotta come with the right attitude , ive worked all over and am always happy to come home , i personally dont like places that stink of horse s**t and you cant get a loaf of bread without a 2 hour trek , and i especially dont like places , like cornwall , devon and others that hate Londoners just because were from London , try getting to know the person 1st , come on lads , open your minds , not all of us are awful !

You're not even in London, you're in Surrey. When I refer to London, I mean Laaaandaaan. You know, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Walford, Kensington & Chelsea. Right in the middle where all the man bag carrying media types live side by side with crack dealers and hookers. Where you couldn't go out to get a loaf of bread from the shop 2 doors down for fear of some hooded wannabe rapper taxing you. The bit that stinks of dog s**t and vehicle fumes, where you can't ******* park, and if you do manage to find a space, you come back to find your vans been damaged. That bit of Laaaandaaan that seriously needs a modern day Guy Fawkes to sort it out.

London is a s**t hole, central london, for a night out, or a day trip is pukka, but to live its the same as any ******* town, a load of b*ll***s! I live on the outskirts and I deffo wouldnt move any closer, wouldnt want to move further away mind you.

Why would someone choose to buy a shitty flat up fulham, wandsworth etc/ for lets say £2million when they can live 15 miles down the A3 and get a ******* mansion with enough land to build your own mx track in the garden, people only live in London to say they live in London in conversations at their bullshit dinner parties, everyones up their own arse and cant actually afford to live there yet looks down their noses at everyone who doesnt.
Most pretentious place on the planet!

theres 2 diffrent sorts of london we dun a night job in chelsea town in the place that ingrave the f.a cup on a friday night
had own bouncer there with us wen entering and leave the shop cause of the vaule of stuff in there walked out about 10 at night wen the bars were packed was like instant stonk on the birds there were fit as fook limos everywere proper eye opener to how the rich live
then on other hand worked in a area with tower blocks either side kids running round screaming and fighting
motox bikes tearing round the playing feild with sum right nasty looking ppl about but at both jobs never ad no problem with the people up there
i just cant be doing with the traffic you get short of a bag of multi buy the time uv bin to merchants u could put the hit on and be troweld up
but on the plus side the cafes dont muck around with there portions wen they say there a gut buster they really are

Like everywhere , there are good and bad parts of the place , its just not nice when people tar everyone with the same brush , what parts of London have you all worked in ?

Dont get me wrong dude, not everyones the same! and I probably work in the same sort of places as you, but generally go out of town a bit, anywhere from here Kingston to redhill/tolworth

Well ive travelled all round the world in the last 30 years and been to many capitol cities and all are good in there own right, but to be honest not cos i come from London, but it is still the finest City in the world you just have to chill out and embrace it. London aint England its London same as Amsterdam aint Holland.

nice lucius. i always consider london the best city in the world. great place to make some money. and a great hub for travelling.

as i started the post, thought i`d better chip in.don`t get me wrong,no one said they hate londoners,it`s just all the hassle that come`s with working in the area.we were staying in eailing, and working in fulham.it was taking an hour to drive a few miles.and not much less driving back at around 8pm.there were 2 lithuanian`s on the job doing bits and bob`s.could`nt speak english, but to be far to them, they worked for there money.one of them had a head like a basket ball, and a back like a silverback!
the house were we where working was bought for 800,000,and will be worth 1.2 when finished(baring in mind it`s a mid terrace).every hour on the hour a coloured gezzer would hang out his window directly behind the property, with a bifter on the go!
the next job the builder`s doing is 12 adjoining houses in pickadilly, that should be fun!

You couldn't pay me enough money to visit London. Awful place, awful people.

Hi Bobby , actually some one did say Londoners are awful !!!!, I have 2 jobs on the go in Fulham at the moment , just off Parsons green , where you working , as for Eastern Europeans they are everywhere now im afraid

iv been in peckham since xmas and i do think its a bit of a dump. and a pain in the arse to get to. worked in chelsea, did a flat and 2 schools in sloane square, again a pain to get to, and i found the people pretty stuck up. worked in acton, again not a place i would want to live. a school in kensington recently, again the traffic and parking are such a pain. school in kingston aswell, not a bad drive, but wouldnt wanna live there. the thing for me with london is that im generally only there for work and so i hate it coz of the traffic. a lot of the areas iv been are either very expensive with a lot of snobby people, of pretty rough with high percentage of foreigners. if u work there its either gridlock traffic or on the road at 5am, or its the tube, which iv done a few times and i cant stand it. hate all the stressy everyones in a rush and thinking that running up the escalator is a nice way to start a day. and why do people race to cut u up when the lights are red infront of u? but, for nights out and non work related things its alright. but def not the best city in the world
