Johnstones silicone render...

Anyone used this? I was invited along to a training day this morning seemed quite decent stuff although i only put on about 4m2. Its made by the paint company, would never have even thought about using them for renders

Yeah they do about 200 different shades, these renders aren't something ive used before so maybe all companies do the same. Don't get much textured render up here, although they do a dash receiver aswell

They said around £8.50 for bag of dash receiver. Not sure about the render but i think about £35 for a tub, would that be about right?

Ppg Johnstone have been making texture finsh for render manufacturers for years just never under there own name.

Render manufacturers rarely have the ability to produce such a chemical so turn to paint companies. Ppg have a render range now too including mono

i have painted their nano paint over my house. 2 coats onto a mineral render.
Now you would expect no staining.
the walls i did last year are green and will need powerwashing. no chance the rain will clean that. now why did i spend the extra money ?
