Joint cement

Has anybody ever skimmed over joint cement? We used to use it on site work when we done a lot of tapin jobs. Was pricin work the other day and the customers have sheeted their hall ceilin where the loft hatch used to be. They have slapped joint cement over the joints and where the hatch was (lumpy as **** plus its a mess). Am skimmin their hall usin Multi next week and was wonderin if the joint cement would cause problems if I were to skim straight over. Cheers

Should not be a problem you could just put a bit of pva over the cement then scrim over joints as normal

The joint cement will pull in very quickly so couple of coats of pva or whatever bonding agent your trialling this week will do lol
