S a plastering

Private Member
just been to look at quite a bit of patching for a customer an quite a few elec have been extended with junction boxes that need floating in then patching the question is do you isolate electr while doing it but with winter here we need the light or is there something you can put over em to stop the water shorting em out cheers

Are they sockets that have been moved or light switchs ? If its just sockets .... Just turn them off and leave the lights on .... Also it should be seperate fuses for up and down stairs sockets so just if ur upstairs knock them off .... Test it with a meter to make sure they r dead and bring a extension from downstairs ?

Same with the lights really if it is switchs aswell .... Just get ur power from up or down etc and plug ur lights in .... Unless ur doing up and down in a day ...... Lol

It's a mixture lights an sockets think I will just isolate em as doing em I was just wondering really if there is wot you could put over em

All you need to do if they are the round j bs just screw the top off put abead of silicone around the inside edge put top back on and stick some electric tape arond this will w keep the moisture out from the conections and water tight because if you dont the moisture from the plaster will trip them out and its a nightmare to get the power back on
