from a bloke called richard offering me work in portsmouth. brand new school But only paying £5.50 float and set now this sounds very tight to me . any 1 know the goin rate round there. I feel as though our trade is worth alot more than this i know things are tight at mo but i think he is a least £1 short maybe a bit more what you guys think

12m ceiling 12x7.50...
bonded up the chase (booking 3/4 of the metrage of the wall for bond and set, the other 1/4 @ 4.20)
work the f'cker out...
all day every day, 2 years work...
and i fixed me van before 6:15, had 2 beers down the local, on me third carlsberg, no tea..
I'll skim it tomorrow... + 1 serving hatch bond and set (book 2m for it)..
do me a fave and work it out flynny cos i really cant be arse the day ive had... good lad..

well chris im not gonna pay you for the van im not sure how much the beer cost so i wont deduct it and it comes in at a grand total of £329.28 before tax

nice one flynny.... gonna be 2 days that...pretty much average.. 20 % obviously but its back on full on for the next month again having done the 'penalty clause panic' for the last week...
early finish tomorrow, just have the 4 walls and the hatch, makes up for today...
some of em are 5 x 3 make it back on the 'bond and set' cos some of the walls are all over the place and youve pretyy much gotta level the worktop edge and 450 above for the tilers....
so book the full wall, got the measure through, ticks over ok...
bathrooms are about 3x2 but its one set on the skimming and you pretty much book the lot for bond and set cos the ceilings used to be 2 ceilings (theres a wall come out in the middle and sometimes theyre artex etc) just make it happen innit.. cheers for the workout mate, my brain really aint up to it toinight...

Portsmouth is a big city about a hour from me . i know a few spreads who live local, and none of them would f&s for that money, thats why he is looking futrther a field.

i did a school for 5 per metre just before chrimbo i worked till 6 every night and just scraped 120 and had to pay my lad 60 for working the same hours ...........it would have been a good job but for the beads, fcucking everywhere concrete ceilings so expansion joints absolute mare was spending 1 1/2 days a week just beading
c wat ur saying mate. but every school i have ever been on has got stupid high ceilins . fckin shapes. cant start b4 7:30 finnish a 4. but then moan wen you dnt do wk ends cos they behind. and local i would take it but away there aint enuf money in to pay digs. well i had a missd call today of him agen so he still aint got no. plus i aint come acros many spreads that can float nowa days let alone do it to any standard.grand wizard said:

Not saying you would not earn, just Pompy is a big city with a lot of redevelopment Most local spreads are making better dosh on domestic, so this guy is looking furter a field.Thats got to be 250 + miles from Pompy to Wigan.Mind you Lee, theres some dirty slappers down there, my cousin is 1 of them.

spraying hardwall on , you would earn but its not going to be good money, 2 of you would do around 70m2 a day as there would be big area's, find out what firm its for. were down here now on a school doing mp, will be finished in about 2 weeks. time.
