just put advert in local paper

im from the south yorks area and put an advert in paper, 4x2 colour goes in two papers which covers 3 towns.
£188.00 for the month its in today, i never usually advertise but the large companies i have been subbing for on site are (chinese word)ing me about so im trying the domestic side of things.
would like to know how u lads get on with adverts, how many jobs you price a week, how many u get, have the rates dropped. any 1 liners that get you the job..

just sorted my adds to day got the front page on a main posh area in my town and i got to pic the colour as iv taken the page, also iv taken half a back page on another posh area directory in my town they work well my last job was over £5,500 AND THAT was from my quarter page small add in one posh directory!

go 4 it i say, and on the up side the local plaster has just dropped out this month so I'm the only one in there now.
