i have mixed neat SBR with some weber OCR Tiling , and put some on to styrofoam, then some on a plastic,and left the rest in the jar that i mixed it in ,just hoping to see what the resulting material is like , i'am always messing about ,after all thats what the manufactures do to get new materials lol, anyone els experiment with stuff ?

yes or PVA lol ,just going to spray-it very lightly with water and trowel-it,see what happens

SBR is brill stuff. When mixed neat with any cement base product i have used it always sticks like a *******.

Like when cementitous tanking over glazed bricks.........:RpS_wink:

try self levelling compound with skimming. You lay it on and it flattens itself perfectly

Yes me to Carlos, me and a frend found it 25 years ago, when we were supplied the milky liquid with Bal tile adhesive and never used it in the addy,so the next time we did some rendering we put the liquid in the render and it was great ,so we used to collect the SBR liquid and save it for rendering jobs, lots of the polymer modified renders on sale, just have SBR as the modifier lol then we all pay five times the cost lol the manufactures are laughing all the way to the bank lol........

when i spayed misted some water on it it when milky looking /lighter and it trowel d like a dream !! very smooth finish for render, anyway i think its going to set very plastic if that makes any sense lol
