alright conner sorry to see you aint got what you want yet mate ,if no one comes accross with offers soon it might be best just to get booked up on a course and see where that leads

no not yet mate might have a bit with brucie soon if the job comes off mate would do a course mate but a bit skint comes off been on the dole for the last 6 wks >:(

doubt it mate, if they take him on then they get roped into holiday pay and employers liability insurance and all the rest, how it normally works is like how i do it, i am self employed and the lad who works for me is self employed and gets paid by the customer and not me, i think most people do the same. but you are not entitled to the money this way, even if he gets on site working for a firm, he has to be cards in because you dont get it for being a subby :(

i do the same mate, i work with a bloke whos like a boss, but im self employed. but this time next year he will be retired and it will be allllllll mine, MWUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

if you train it took me 3 hours to learn then i could put 80ms a day on, on my own and render 2 houses

and i looked s**t because you need a good few years training before you become a master of your chosen trade ::)

You will get funding, they paid for my telehandler course last year. They don't like to advertise the fact but if you go to your local government enterprise they will explain in more detail. I'll try and get more info but I got £1000. Just tell 'em u know a load of Plasterers and they said they might take you on if you did some training. Don't go on a local course niether, they're all (german word)e up North were we are. Go down south for one that will register u and fund you to do an NVQ once you gain employment and experience!

Good luck, god loves a tryer ;)

i need an employer to take me on first i have all the paperwork here they need to fill it in and then the jobby go frm there min of 26 wks and more than 33 hrs a week :-\ :-\

Conner, what work are you in at the mo?

Have you had any experience in any of the building trades?

I imagine there are lots of people out there at the moment trying to get a trade so you need to stand out from the crowd.

Try and get a bit of experience working maybe 1 day a week for free with someone. Just tag along and see what you can learn, and see if it is what you really want.

i used to work for a render comp and just 6 wks ago i worked for a plasterer but he moved to australia this is what i want to do
