If anyone has any acrylic rendering they have coming up, would like to get some experience in any of them, thought about going on a course but I would rather work for/with a proper spread for a few days for free than pay whatever they want for a numpty in a college thats probably never been on a site in his life.

you not using the zero finish then John boy. I have a thin coat job all ready to go with the final texture (winter grade). soon as a half decent day comes it going on like.

get some plastic sheeting draped down from the soffit just clear off the wall rig up the clarke devil propane heater and bam your in business.

Is this the Parex stuff? I rang SAS and they do an additive for acrylic but it does not make it go off just more pliable under 8c. SPS has not said anything but since Steve Blower has left to go down south the new rep is absolutely pig ignorant. Time to move on I think.

Might be giving Parex a call, lets see if they can answer the phone.

parex do a good accelerator, so do sto.
parex's version is there accel dry it says not to use below 5c but i used it last year when it said 2c on the van temp and it was fine. dried in about 3 hours if i recall and that was with a primer behind the dpr.

give luke pickford at parex a bell hes a sound fella and covers the north, dont give nick cheek a bell though, youve more chance of getting hold of pamela andersons knickers than him, we spend chunks of money with parex and the guy still never answers his phone.

Thanks Owls.

Steve Blower with SPS was excellent but this new rep will not answer her emails, calls and say's she will ring me back but never does.

£60k a year as well.

Who that then J is it Jon

you can still deal with Blower on phone mate. prices aint been that good on the last job i did tho, especially not while prices are so low at the mo. some systems are very competetive but there are some totally rubbish products coming into the country. Its notable on the finish - paint in the texture can be very very poor with terrible opacity so will look bad and faded in no time.

you just cant get away from how good the parex dpr is when you roll that first stroke of primer and it covers like one coat silk solid.

some of the Eu products have pi55 like primer and you know from there on its gonna be washy after 5 years.

Sto do winter grade, Ivas the same, all BASF made finish for whatever manufacturer will have an option of 0 degrees and above finish so I imagine alumasc and wthrby all have the option without the need for an additive
