K rend mono pral m over painted render

I've been asked to quote to render a house which has old painted s&c render on it but the customer doesn't want to hack it off . What's the best format to go over this with either k rend or mono pral m ? Metal Mesh base coat and a primer ?

parinter like stuart says pinned aswell you can put monorex over this aswell

It's a thin coat system with parinter, going over sand cement with parinter then another good 10 mm of top coat is nuts, it's to heavy, otherwise knock it off. sand cement scratch coat plus another coat of sand cement, you could have a good 20mm already then another coat of parinter then another coat of mono.

You don need to pin any parinter application it's a stand alone product regardless of thickness.
But again your relying on that paint carrying it for years to come, i'm doing mine in it and I'm pinning for safe measure.

Yep I agree your substate needs to be sound, but it's your job to determine if it's suitable or not, pinning it shouldnt come into it.

I've used a far bit of parinter and a thin coat finish
As owls says if the paint is sound no pins needed but that's down to the applicator i suppose
That parinter really is decent gear

What coverage do you get Rob are they 30kg bags like typical parex gear? Would you do 2 passes (mesh first then sponge finish the 2nd??)

Yes mate big bags.ive used it for a basecoat for 1.5mm finish and was getting 4-5m2 per bag
Yes 2 passes.its sponges up a treat
I've used it as a finish but wasn't really happy with the finish tbh
