been asked to do sum k rend on new blockwork which aint a problem but the guy got some areas of wet dash which has been on for years . its real hard and strong on the wall. can i go over these areas. if so whats the best way to do this.

now i might be wrong here before anyone snaps my coupon off but would rendaid be ok just for them areas meshed up dont know if it would be better using a base coat in theese circumstances maybe one of the more experianced ones might know

We recentley did one onto an old extension but that was done by fixing insulation then weber cloth and hp12, I asked the question yesterday whether you could go onto cement based products with silicone renders but i didnt get a reply.

What sort of prices per sq m do you guys go for when doing domestic k rend supply and fix ? im not winning a lot at £40 per sq

You need to tighten that price church try and do it on what subbie's are earning on it plus materials that's the only way at the mo as it is so competitive i think everyone has dropped there prices to a ridiculous rate or shop around and get materials cheaper the bigger companies have the monopoly as they are ordering more materials and getting it alot cheaper so they are putting in stupid low prices that no one can compete with.

I do look at the sq m2 and compare it to how long i think it will take per day don't get me wrong , but there was only a couple merchants locally that got back to me with prices for the materail maybe that's the problem £ 6.75 a bag plus vat on k rend i think it might be an amount thing on domestic work

i'd say rendaid the spar including mesh but then you might have to rendaid the lot so youve got the same suction ......have a look at krends technical services section.....and give them a ring mate if you can get past the irish accent there willing to offer advice ;)

your well off mate, i know firms down here charging about 26 supply and fix. You can still make nice money at that but we machine it on. your labour will come in around 18m2 , do 65m2 a day ( nice easy days) 2 of you and your looking at 1170 a day so im not surpriced your not getting any jobs at 40. look at it from a customer point, 200m2 job at 40 would cost them 8k, someone at 26 m2 only 5200.
