Hi all, went to look at a job today.New dwelling 4500sqft.External finish is to be k-rend roughcast finish.I have never used this product before and im wondering what this gear is like to use. Is there much of a difference between standard wet dash/roughcasting and k-rend roughcast. Iv to supply aswell so any of ye know the price range of this stuff.I will be ringing k-rend on Monday but would just like some info before I talk to them.
Cheers

We use it quite a lot, you'll need a few bodies because it's not the easiest stuff to use. Difference with the krend, and most bagged dash receivers, is that you hit it as soon as you get it on. Ideally you'd want someone mixing, someone laying on and someone coming behind dashing. We have two laying on and one dashing straight behind us, it skins over very quickly and I can't highlight enough you need to get the dash on quick. You'll need to keep wet edges as once it drys you'll see it no matter how good you try and hide it. I found that mixing it then leaving for twenty minutes before giving it a spin again gives you longer with it.
