Hi,
Has anyone had experience with both of these products, which did they get on best with, we have 24 plots to do soon and need to recommend which is best with the customer, neither will be on the insulation but direct to the block wall, customer is looking at the guarantee that comes with these products and it's basically maintenance free, but they are hoping for a smooth render finish which neither product gives, any other similar product that would the finish they desire
cheers

Krend in my opinion isnt great. Near the bottom of the pile.
Have used sto. Nice gear. But worth the premium? Not sure, plus you have to be licensed to use.

All manufacturers who have a bba on their system will be warrented under the bba. But some.offer their own manufacturers warranty.
There are alot more good systems out there. For instance i use marmorit, jub or fassa.

They ain't maintenance free that's a crock, a rendered surface will at some point need maintenance.

If you have been sold on the "lower than standard" maintenance idea then Sto lotusan, or JUB nanoxil will be a good place to start looking

Cheers mate , only had a play with acrylic called acryliclite or sumit by jub . Do u rub up silicone renders just the same as acrylics ?

Sorry if that was a daft question its just all pritty new to me but love it , always been a old school sand cement lad even though am only 27 lol

Yep totally CTplastering old school rendering all the way,
we going through licensing with STO at the moment, all the courses blah blah blah,
any links to the other product mentioned Jub?

is that a yes then dan ? Or it a complete different game again ? I enjoyed doing the bit thin coat like , was workin with render systems off here :RpS_thumbup: top man

Texture comes in three types normally. Acrylic, semi acrylic/silicone, fully silicone silicate which is like an elastomeric material. Some offer lotus technology as the premier line but I always think a texture with a self cleaning paint over the top is the best for maintenance

Its all done the same and 1.5mm is the common size.

Thats great cheers lads , really enjoed it all and complete different game , done some thin coat base with maite and mesh , and ocr base with mesh . Was a good learning curve as hadnt even used ocr before ! Me labourer had it so much easier haha
