K-Rend ?

Evening, Gents,

Can someone please explain the benefits (if any) of K Rend - I understand its polymer based thus giving good waterproofing qualities but have no idea how to apply it etc...

Does it come in 25Kg bags and mix with water - How much is it and how far does a bag go - Does it give a better finish than S&C and does it rub up better ?

In short, for a spot on job, is it better than S&C or is it too dear for normal domestic work ?

Cheers

it can crack ........have lime blooms...........ghost and finish in very slightly different colours .......apart from that its alright :D
a bag inc wastage does about 0.8m and it does look nice but theres loads of finishes so it's personall choice
give the customer the options mate but it is less forgiving than sand cement when it's on it's on and youre beading has to be spot on

never used k-rend,but do use weber monopral which is much the same, always used sand and cement for years, started using weber this year never looked back, would advise give it a go if you can s&c you can do this, same as nicksey says get your beading spot on and your base preped the rest simple mate

i think its over rated mate an if youve done a bit you'll no soddin stuff blinds ya and makes a god awfull mess an your at the mercy of a wildly variable set time,4_48 hours would you believe, plus everything nicks said.

get yourself some ski goggles ;D......................................................seriously :)

tell ya one thing mate get ya sen on weber, did a job yesterday single storey kitchen, got it on for 11.00,went to skim a ceiling at another job went back at 3.30 scraped it back ,nipped in this morning brushed it down looks the b*llocks, been s&c for years tell ya one thing you can keep it
