k render

hello to all mi name is alan . i have been plastering for moor than 10 years.
but i need some advise on k render i have a small job to do around a front door way it is a
stone fronted and stone above the door and two brick columns which are painted.the customer would
like the columns in a k render.
i haven't used k render be for i have done lots of lime render .
so i would like a advise on how to use k render and what preparation to do .
