Kit!!!

Hey all what kit does a plasterer really need i.e the obvious hand board and trowel, brushes, buckets, but what do all you lads carry and use really many thanks for the responses :)
 
trowel,hand hawk,bucket trowel,5"brush and 2",tin snips 30mm clout nails for beads,corner trowel,transformer,paddle mixer ,spot and stand,claening brush for buckets and paddle mix,2,4 and 6foot levels,4,6,8 foot feather edges and labourer
 
i've been uming & ahhring on weather to get a spot board a stand. do i really need 1 for domestic work
 
I have a spot and stand but dont really use it much at all, i use to gorilla tubs on for 1st coat and one for topping then clean 1st while in between trowels and i have never had a problem all about preference though i would think!!
 
i set a spot board up 2 day with a whole gorilla tub of multi on it..thing was i was useing a off cut plaster board on mt spot stand....it gave way :-X
 
wow 75l on weels..be ok if there are no stairs..u could mixed u out side every time with that baby.
 
Does anyone buy kit that looks the business but turns out to be shite!!! My van is full of things that will come in handy.... And never do ;D ;D ;D

I also like my gadgets.... I dont care if they work or not as long as they look the bizz... (ie The bladerunner, what a great looking piece of shite... Had to have one on the van though, just in case!) ;D ;D
 
same as....went 2 screw fix the other day got a ste ladder that folds ip in a tube..looks well cooll.........
thing is ..its 3 steps high my hop up is just as good..and when do i use a ladder?

looks cool dow.
 
Also hat buckets do you guys use gorilla tubs or those long narrow buckets or worse yet the buckets with a lid on lol

I use a gorilla.... Got a tall mixing bucket though, cos they look nice ;) See told you so ;D ;D ;D
 
I WENT AND PAID £45 FOR A NEW GOLD PRREMSHAPE TROWL JUST SO I COULD TAKE THE HANDLE OFF IT TO PUT ON MY OLD 1! YEA I KNOW
 
lol i know a guy who come on a site saying he won a plastering comp and come 1st in uk and got a gold trowel for it and i showed him that i had one that peed on his bonny lol should of seen his face lol
 
I use a permashape s/s trowel......... But i do have a never been used permashape gold, cos it looks bling bling!! ;D ;D ;D
 
I even have diffrent hawks for skimming and bonding/rendering

Same here i get ripped on site for having that but when the other spreads are skimming up and keep getting bits of bonding and dri-wall going up the wall from off the edge of the hawks i have the last laugh lol

I know thats why its hanging in the van all shiney and gold and staying in the van all shiney and gold.... Might buff it up with a bit of brasso to bring out the gold a bit more.... Bling Bling ;D ;D ;D
