Last few jobs I've done we've used knauf plasterboards and they are sh it, paper coming away from the core , I don't know what they are making them with nowadays but it feels like sherbet, say what you like about BG but they get my vote every time in all things plastering .

Hi Superspread

I am not up to speed with Knauf Drywall supply (I look after the Knauf Aquapanel products), but if you are having issues, please report this back to the supplier you got the boards from and/or contact your local Knauf Representative to register your issues... If you do not know who your local contact is, drop me a message with your location and contact details and I will advise who the local contact is and exchange contact details...

Knauf pride themselves in the quality of its products and its service to the market, I am not aware of any issues recently, but if you have issues let us know and we will endeavor to sort things out asap ....

I prefer the knauf boards myself. Never had a problem with them as yet and they seem a lot stronger than the bg ones. Might be a bad batch?

I wouldn't want to be dabbing Knauf boards at the moment, as the paper is separating from the gypsum on the back. It's like they forgot to put the glue in. Knauf boards have always been crap for jointing as they are rippled to f**k**g. Their jointing materials are horrible too. Come to think of it, most of their stuff is s**t. A bit like R&J.

Say what you think.... hold back if you must....lol

When Kauf first came on the scene they were good , but over the last few years I think they've got worse and worse and today was the final straw.

I prefer knauf boards, using them at the min and haven't noticed anything wrong with them. I can hold them above head with one hand while boarding a ceiling and they don't snap, the bg ones I'm not so sure?

Knauf or siniat seem fine to me, with bg we just keep changing blades all the time due to impurities in the board and winter time they just absorb the moisture in the air, bg not so good to stick with imo.

got to say I prefer knauf boarda and there board adhesive...seem to hold there shape better at 9.5mm and the board adhesive hangs forever in the bucket oh and its white not grey and looks better if used for putting coving up...

Over here they've played around with using recycled gypsum and also recycled paper- (mostly on the back side of the board) none of which is as good as the original. Also had a bad go of it with China imports.
