ive had a look at a job and he wants mono over spar ......i was going to brush it down hack off the lose render s/c it back level then hpx or rendaid the lot with a full mesh ???.....does this sound right ? also if you go over over any existing stuff with a base coat do you need to pretreat it with anything?.........also ;D. ;D ;D...........is it true that if you over render more than 30% of a property you need to get the cavity insulated or use an insulated render system ?

i think your find mate that insulation is only if the render is hacked off. the rest should be ok.

K- rend recommend r7 acrylic primer before base coat

i would use primo colour from lord and downing, better product plus they also use the gear on there own jobsso they know what there talking about.

How much a bag does that work out at Simp ?

Just got 200 bags of primo colour for a small house in light green was gonna take 6 to 8 weeks from any one else but Russ got it for me in two, good service and good price

they come in around 8.90 a bag dilivered. if you want 5 bags its still 8.90. but speak to les

Is primo any good to spray, Dont want to use Pral or egrade

its a good product very coarse you gotta start you water high let it come through the hose then turn down to what you want

was thinking that rich you can go straight over a sand cement scratch coat but theres no guarantee ........im going to need a fair bit of base coat to cover the spar though ...its all catch 22 ;D
whats primo lads ? err.............and pral and egrade ;D.........im used to webber or krend ..bit thick this one
also does anyone know if you need a primer for rendaid?

pral is weber and egrade is krend spunky and rendaid dont need a primer

Just out of interest does anyone know what the back up is like from Weber and krend etc if things go wrong on jobs with insisting subsrates ??

Thanks Grand , maybe I'm looking into these things a little to anal ,but I'm thinking as some of my work may come from old renders being "re rendered " with relatively new products i need to know whats the crack, i looked at a job recently and although it sounded over priced at first , perhaps it wasn't ?

thts why you really need to explain what you go to the supplier and let them supply the whole system. thats why i said contact les and lord and downing.
