Has anyone used tc 15 before ?? I 've done some at my own house and it looks some what very textured finish in limestone white doesn't look good at all. I found it very grainy to rub up causing the texture finish not quite what I expected after speaking to krend thought it was gonna be fairly smooth any ideas anyone

They are all 'grainy' hence the 1.5mm grain. How you rub it up will determine how grainy though. Too wet and it will look a pigs ear, too late and the same.

Have you used 1.5mm bucket coat amterial before?

No mate first time with these, it look very crevice gutted cost me a to do, it seemed to go stiffer at different areas found it crap to use but obviously my lack of experience with it

It is not straight forward, you usually add some water to it to get a certain consistency to suit and you need to inter mix and whisk the material well as it settles in the tubs.

Did you prime the background well? Apply out of the wind and sun? Timing on rubbing up is important as is keeping your plastic trowel clean of fat.

It may be down to a lack of skill and knowledge. We have all been there. I got a man with previous experience work with me on my first couple of jobs to show me the ropes so to speak.

you could go over it again?

In all fairness if you never applied acrylic before and you just went ahead I would not expect it to look anything like it should. Its very easy to fock this stuff up if you don't know what your doing.

That said it will always have a grain. Of you want smooth use paint.

Is the colour uniform or patchy would you say ?

you wouldn't dream of tackling it would you, if you've not used it before. Looks like you've learned the hard and expensive way.

Uniformed I'd say but thinking on,if u can go over it, maybe someone on here might be interested in the job, worth a try maybe

I thought it wouldn't be to much harder than sand and cement but obviously it's a different ball game I had a friend with me who has used the hpx before but it is a different system I guess

You can go over it, but you'll need more than you originally allowed for than the first time around,as it needs more to go over it to fill the voids of the grain.

Maybe you could give someone on here a hand so they can show you the ropes? I am doing a job Friday morning early but it is too far from you being South Yorkshire.

Cheers for the offer Rigsby but ye it is a bit far mate , I'll have to find someone on here that are closer to me to finish it and get a few tips at the same time
