Took some snaps of a job i'm doing.Convinced the owners to keep the corbels.

Cant wait to to tackle That main wall, going to be a tough one on my own,and up n down the scaffold.Old walls as well .There was damp coming in at the top of the stairs where you can see the mortar.

I told the customer might be best to overboard. No joy as wanted to keep costs down.

Heluva shape on some of the walls.

Good luck with it love

Looks pretty straight forward compared to some hall, stairs and landings! Loads of easy to reach places there! :RpS_thumbup:

(speaking from a midget)

It's easy enough to do to be honest, prep it properly, plenty of pva and two coats of it,use two spot boards, make sure your scaffold is safe, over board, are you mad...

Yes if you take the radiator off, the wall might feel very exposed and vulnerable and you could possibly be done for harrassment in the work place, best case scenario, or worst case rape :RpS_scared:

Gonna sound funny, but i fooking hate heights.I have my ladders set as a v on the top of the landing with a scaffold board between...pretty hairy wobbling about on there, and looking down....yeah...dont look down haha.

Do you think you can convince them to take the rad off??

Pipes supplying the rad are iffy. The plumber put them in twisted, and if you glance one of the pipes that come down the wall a leak develops on one of the joints.I could most prob take the rad of myself, but hmm dunno...I told the customer that i will get my trowel to the brackets, and they fine with that.

Would be nice to have a clean run.

so that is the massive job that you diddnt know how to price after 15 years experience

If you have to feather in to it rather than trying to get as far down as you can as it will look turd!

Apart from an issue the damp at the top of the the big wall i cant see no other issues. Was going to pva on the effected part twice where you can see the mortar, and then again on the big day....haha like going to a wedding.

Overboard??? Did you give a price before removing the wallpaper? If so your a lucky boy

No no price yet.I know the walls were going to be bad and its the walls o the opposite side that were the problem...lot of patching, and general prep.

Price wise was looking at £ 740 with materials....dont know if thats going to go down well.Landing ceiling will need over boarding .

Ah the scaffold plank, my old friend. I should really invest in proper stuff but I'm a make-do spider monkey when it comes to stairs!

They not questions though see mate, just insinuations and suspicions over my time on the trowel.

Jace the Ace...LOL...disillusions of grandeur kid....think your fan boys will like that ?.

ITS A HOUSE that is all for 15 years you must have just skimmed box rooms, that size wall someone who had been on the trowel for 15 years would not be calling it "the big day" thats a medium/small sized hit, hows was you ever goin to over board it then?

See its all coming out eh ?.

I'm just sharing a few snaps of my job.I always take before and after pics.As for calling it the big day...its just a laugh.I'm trying to put some enthusiasm into the thread but your just here to be as awkward as you like.

Overboard was just a consideration because of certain areas...the walls are sound enough.

Anymore...well was going to call them questions...just get that light out of my face ok mate.
