Hi people I know this isn't plastering but wanna know if I can latex onto my bathroom floor which is half concrete and half floor boards(butted up)? Eventually want to tile but for now just to seal it up/ tidy it up. Thanks

on the concrete you could use self leveling but on floorboard using self level will crack/break away eventually from the moisture of the water in the self level compound hitting with the floorboard, wood would expand in the floorboards and wont perform a contact bond and will result in a poor finish, best bet would be to use marine ply and board the floor or start from scratch and rip the lot out, if its downstairs, why not take the floorboards up and refill with concrete, then shot a self level over the lot of it, to give a good finish.
just my opinion, might work might not

As the man said but i wouldnt put leveling compound down untill you were ready for tiling good chance it will crack if to much traffic on it but if you must use a resin based one not water based.

also you could mix a bucket of carlite bonding up and screed wi that...proper job:RpS_thumbsup:

sorry...couldn't resist:RpS_lol:
