loads of cracks!! best way?

look at this wall..its blocks under the skim..was wallpapered over for years..wots the best way with this wall?
iv WBA's it and I'm ganna do a 50/50 bonding skim mix then skim it..seem OK?

use some of that no cracks concrete fibre stuff in the first mix........ used it a few times and never had any problems.

youll need a few rolls of scrim

nah iv bonded out a bad patch and im ganna fiber it and bond it and skim it..so should be ok i hope!

cant you get scrim tape in huge oversized rolls... like hessian? i suppose you could stack 20 rolls on an old broom handle and roll em across the wall asif it where 1 big roll... tho getting the first 20 bits stuck on would be a nightmare.. job for the labourer

You can buy non adhesive scrim a meter wide in Spain similar to the stuff you use for OCR must be available in the U.K.

fibatape do metre wide self adhesive scrim or you could buy some fiberglass mesh and bed with bonding

personally i'd have the lot off back to brick then d&d. (unless they don't mand losing the extra space...can't really tell unless i give it a knock but that sh*t looks like its about to fall off the wall let alone hold 8x4s.

i priced up when the paper was on..the wall seemed OK bar 1 bit i patched in..but when we chopped that bit out it cracked the other side of the room completely! good job I'm now doin the other room!

ill left u no how my 50/50 bonding skim plus fibers holds up.. i put it all on yesterday..
