We have an old wall aprox 100 years old and it had old roughcast. It was loose nearly all over so i revoved it all and now left with old brick.
Ive had two different roughcasters round to quote but both have given different advice.
The 1st person says that he will have to secure steel mesh before applying a base coat, and coat on that then pebbledash.
The 2nd person says that he will put on a base coat and put a fibre glass mesh into the base coat then pebbledash.
I asked if i needed any mesh at all but both said it will prvide a good key and stop cracking.
Ive also opted for a ploymor render !
Any advice would be great. Thanx, M
