Got little transit connect at min .had it for last 3 years. Always been on site so ideal for flying about with not not tools in back. Now bk doing domestics struggling with all s**t you need an dong my head in cause like my van tidy but it just gets launched in any way with lack of space. Need bigger one aswel cause bird has sofa suite thing going so I do the deliveries but she hires me Lwb high top .
I got 5 grand there to spend on van any suggestions wats good on juice an good all rounder

Get the tidiest low mileage van that you can find for the money. Make and model is purely down to personal preference. They all have their good and bad points.

Transits shouldn't let you down but at 5 grand the rust and rot should have set in by then... got a ducato at the mo which is a lot nicer that the transit but rarely go acouple of month without something playing up...

I don't think u can buy a good van anymore. They all come with there problems. I had VW Toyota transit traffic Mercedes. The Toyota was uncomfortable and hard on fuel but had less problems then the rest. Transporter is expensive I had gearbox problems good on fuel. Mercedes a lot of small parts just keep Breakin off it rusts good on fuel. The transit is a rust bucket hard on fuel but a work horse. Traffic is comfortable good on fuel they come with a lot of small problems but the cheapest of the lot. It's a lottery buying a van.

Not long bought a 7k transit On a 61 plate....rust starting to show on the bottom of the panels.

Vw crafter next time i think

Might AV to up my money . Couldn't be spending more tho . [emoji35]

Just go for something older that's had an easy life and been looked after. Vans that have been private ambulances for example. Trawl eBay and you'll find something decent with the money you have.

Always had Transits until last year bought a 60 plate renault master after speaking to a Ford mechanic who surprisingly recommended the master over the ford. Been faultless, decent economy, inbuilt satnav, bluetooth, parking sensors and zero rust.

You're dead right,if you've got a good van you wouldn't get rid of it, people get shut of vans when things start going wrong them and pass the problems on to someone else.

I've always had transits, but I have just bought a vw crafter high top, I love it the difference is night and day to the transit.plus I get double amount of mile with the vw. Anyone want to buy a transit

Only bad thing i'd say about the Crafter is its pretty high stepping in and out, i've been meaning to get a step for it but just never got round to it. Although I'm a short ass at only 5"7:(

I have a transit connect and you want to see the hack of it when I'm doing a small renovation or bathroom refit! Fcuk me its wild! Going to upgrade to a SWB transit in the summer hopefully, but will see how much work comes my way first.

Yeah I'm the same mate 5"7 and I have a crate at back doors I got told not to get a step as it messes with the parking sensors

Top Tip for your next van when and if you get sign writing on it ask them to vinyl wrap from bottom of the sill's up to trim line hey presto rust prevention and helps keep your residual up for re-sale.

Because if they didn't rust they'd go on for donkey's years so Ford wouldn't sell as many vans. :envidioso
I get that companies build in redundancy into certain aspects but i reckon they lose more in none sales

If I had 5 Grand I'd buy a Volvo estate dust sheet in back and spend other 4k on hookers and couple of holidays...

But hey ho maybe that's cause I've lost the will to live with plastering!!!
Have to say for a domestic it's not all that bad a vehicle... other than looking like a cowboy...

I recon cowboy looks the new niche!!!

Always had sign written vans teashirts etc think I loose jobs now being to professional and trying to run like a business...

Everyone just wants doley Mick in his wife's car no company name cheap as chips pay him in cash...

But then moan when he's shite
