looking for some method statements

after many years as a ceiling fixer i have just started to find some of my own work ,,,i have just priced a nice little job but they want me to do the plastering ,can anyone point in the right direction where i could get my hands on some method statements for skimming ,2 coat and taping and jointing ,i would really appreciate any advice i could get ,,thanks in advance ,,jedi
 
I'm guessing your not be doing the plastering yourself ? If so get a plasterer who has them already but make sure you pay them a good rate
 
i,m based in dorset ,,i have someone that will do the work for me but he is labour only and doesnt have that sort of paper work
 
In all honesty i don't really know what you were expecting, no one is going to give you their method statements, we have had to create our own statements and assessments, search online for them, or pay some one to do them , it's highly unlikely some one is just going to hand them over willy nilly and spitting your dummy out is not going to buy you much grace and favour, try getting to know some of the members first before going for the jugular , you may find them a lot more receptive, there are quite a few good lads on here with wealth of experience and knowledge
 
here is what i do

visit site, assess the risks and document them. then i document how we will work around the said risks avoiding the risks and ensuring all measures are there to back that up - a method statement. its not exactly rocket science the RA/MS

wait til they ask you for your SWMP doc. with the weights of all your wastage, categorised, before you have even generated the said waste
