It's true it's Gypsum Mites, they are found on the gypsum rock mined from below the ground & they make it into the bags of plaster in the factory during bagging process, when they have contact with water they try to escape to the surface, this is what causes the bubbles and the noise you can hear, there's a scientific explanation/name for it on the web.

Saw a documentary on it years ago plus the British Gypsum mine tour told us the same when I asked them.

They also eat through plasterboard,, google it!

I noticed recently in my sons room on the internal stud wall with his dartboard on that there is little holes on that wall but not on the solid walls ffs the little feckers :muyenojado: they are worse than woodworm living in the walls/plasterboard eating away:frenetico::tonto:

They are nearly as bad as plaster beetles :reloco:
 
Funny feeling were going back to this job though couldn't of asked for a more understanding customer . Was well pleased and said he.ll sort any bits. Told him I.d rather he phoned me though we.ll see
